I know man, is so tough to handle all this good news regarding the ps3!! Dam that system is a failure cos... cos..., it don`t matter why, it just is!!
Long live X360, the best nextgen system to date, long live MS..., err... long live x360.... dam, it just rodded on me! Crap!
What is with the surprise, everyone? I knew that for some time and here is why:
- the ps3 has been selling better than the 360 at the same time frame, so that means the ps3 sold more in 07 than x360 did in 06. The x360 had a decline in sales in 07 so it sold less than in 06.
So it`s logic that the ps3 sold more than x360 in 07.
I used to love teken series on ps2, but this is a big dissapointment. There`s nothing nextgen about it. The gfx are bellow average and the way the fighters move is awfull, the transition between one move and the next is so lastgen. I would expect more now with more power. And the way that hits connect?! There should be more detailed, like in Fight Night. I love fighting games but common, this is garbage.
From my experience, i think both consoles are more or less on par as far as media capabilities concerns, but the ps3 has an advantage due to hardware reliability and a super smooth run with almost no noise at all. I know every one is fed up hearing about the x360`s hardware issues, but when you own both consoles you will have to take that into consideration.
To summarize:
Ps3: Jap. market, EU market and more than half of US market.
X360: US market and less than half EU market. US market is very big but it won`t stand a chance against the rest of the world.
So i guess the PS3 isn`t such a failure after all. X360 will never do any better than it did last year while the PS3 is on uprise.
Keep dreaming, none of those games will see the light this year. Forza2 only came out last year and one year is not enough time to develop a blockbuster game. GoW3? Far not enough info to suggest that is even in development, let alone being near completion. Don`t forget that a good game needs months and months of testing for buggs.
The other 2 are not even worth mentioning.
The only reason why x360 hasn`t sold well in europe and will never sale, is reliability. I`m from europe and i can`t accept anything that brakes down often, with warranty or not.
Me! I just hate every monster shootin game. GoW, Halo, Resistance etc. Sorry but thats my oppinion. Anyway i`m more excited over GT5, MGS4, LBP, HOME...
Wii is joke and i hope future console makers wont follow wii`s footsteps (crap technolgy with innovative way of playing) If wii had this gen power it would have been a real blow to ps3/x360. But with last gen specs it has no future as the casual gamer market will soon be over saturated.
The ps3 is more value for the money when it comes to features, and once the big guns are released it`s obvious that it will do far better than it does now, and a price drop will really propel it to the most wanted console.
PS3= very good blu player, very good games console, very good entertainment hub.
X360= solely a games console concentrated, but failes to do that thing alone as it will brick down on you.
Imagine what Sony would have done if they concentrated the ps3 as a gaming machine only! But we have to overlook all the mistakes MS does as they are still relatively new in hardware industry and still got plenty to learn. So, MS, take notice. See what SONY does and start copying.
I don`t know, i kinda like the current ps3 design so i won`t change it so soon. It`s big and beautiful, and big in a good way, is like showing off it`s beauty, and many people that passes through my livinroom, they`re like "wow, that`s slick and shiny". Even my gf said is sexy and she is rarely moved by technology. I`m loving it to bitt`s and i`m very happy i bought it. I do have a x360 as well.
Things are really turning into PS3s favor, and there is more and more positive feedback from the media which will improve PS3 sales.
However we won`t see the PS3s full effect until some of the highly expected games.
The only company that skrewed me is MS for making me buy a console that keeps braking down on me and spends half the time travelling bk and forth to the repair center. The battery lasts forever in my controler cos i rarely have a chance to play and the intervals between brakedowns are getting shorter, and when it works i don`t wanna play cos i don`t wanna spend the day on the phone with MS stupid customer service.
I`m a relatively new ps3 owner (2 months) and i`ve had the x360 for 2 years, but i must say i`m far more happy with the ps3 than i have ever been with the 360. Now i`m buying more and more multiplats for the ps3. There`s certain something when using the ps3, feels almost like a privilege. Is like driving your dad`s expensive car. Although there aren`t too many games to get hyped over like the x360.
You know why you can`t hear the thing even when you turn down the volume? Because you just turned it off!
"Oh, and i just turned off the x360 and the controler is still charging. I have turned my tv on ....... etc. and i can`t hear my 360."
You are a liar, you know the 360 is loud. In fact mine is loud that i can hear it from the livingroom downstairs when is running in my bedroom upstairs. And the fan does keep on running after i turn the console off, and once it kept on running all day until i came bk from work. I have to switch it off from the wall.
Xbots say that the sixaxis is bad for having integrated battery, that you`d have to buy a new controler when the battery loses it`s life, but as a xbox owner myself i must say that i`m more worried of the console braking down than i am of the sixaxis braking down. The console is far more important to be reliable than the controler.
Not sure if i would agree with the x360 controler lasting longer. I have 2 controlers so 1 is always charging and i only have 1 for the ps3, but in my oppinion the sixaxis lasts longer and is less of a hustle. And i use the ps3 more now as well. I have plug and play charge kit for the 360 which doesn`t use AA batteries, but i found it even more of a hustle when i was using AA batteries before. The PS3 just suits me better.
AMEN!
